Mr. Anup Santra

Anup Santra, a passionate horticulturist and specialist in cactus, succulents, and bonsai, began his journey in 1987 with his first achievement as Cactus & Succulent Champion at the Douglas–South Suburban Horticulture show.
Over the years, he went on to win numerous accolades, including the Assembly House Champion (1988-89), the prestigious Forest Minister Trophy during Kolkata’s 300 years celebration at Salt Lake Stadium in 1990, and recognition at the Garden Reach Harimohan Ghose College Flower Show.
Between 1990 and 2013, he secured an impressive 21 Champion Trophies in horticultural exhibitions, making his mark as a pioneer in cactus circular arrangements and bonsai artistry.
His contributions also extend to shows organized by the Calcutta Corporation (Tala), as well as horticultural events in Kakdwip, Diamond Harbour, Budge Budge Corporation, and Muchisha.
As the founder and owner of South Point Greeneries, established in 1987, Anup Santra has dedicated more than three decades to nurturing a legacy of excellence in plant styling, landscape aesthetics, and sustainable gardening, earning him recognition as one of Bengal’s leading horticulturists.
